Bellatrix Health and Safety Limited are committed to protecting the privacy of anyone using our site and the confidentiality of any information that you provide us with. The purpose of this statement is to set out how we use any personal information that we may obtain from you.

We comply with and are registered under the Data Protection Act in respect of all our dealings with your personal data.

Use and collection of personal information

In general you can visit our website without telling us who you are and without revealing any information about yourself. If however, you use our site and then decide to contact us by telephone or email to book a course or seek advice, you will be asked to provide certain information. The information is likely to be your name, address, contact telephone number and email address. We will store this data and hold it on computer or otherwise.

Details of finance including Bank details, credit and debit card numbers are not stored. Once your payment has been received we destroy all unnecessary details including financial, only keeping the information on your booking. Any financial information pending that cannot be destroyed straight away will be kept in strictest privacy and then destroyed. Note that our site does not use online course booking at present.

We may use information that you provide:

(a) To register you on to one of our courses and to enable us to administer it, including issuing award and attendance certificates. We may use a return email address to answer your email query.

(b) To keep records of your course attendance and any examination results, as required by our awarding bodies (i.e. CIEH or HSE).

(c) We may log your IP address (which indicates the location of your computer on the Internet) for the purpose of systems administration and troubleshooting.

(d) We may use log files to help us understand how visitors use our site. We may use this information in aggregate for statistical analysis. Logged information is not linked to any other information that personally identifies the user.

We do not use or share any information you provide to us with outside parties except to the extent necessary to administer your course or advice. To this end we maintain physical, electronic and procedural safeguards to guard your information.


There is a technology called “cookies” which may be used by us to provide you with, for example, customised information from our website. A cookie is an element of data that a website can send to your browser which may then store it on your system. If you wish, you can usually adjust your browser so that your computer does not accept cookies. Please remember cookies do not contain confidential information such as your home address, telephone number or credit card details. We do not exchange cookies with any third party websites or external data suppliers.


We endeavour to take all reasonable steps to protect your personal information. However, we cannot guarantee the security of any data that you disclose online and we will not be responsible for any breach of security unless this is due to our negligence or wilful default.
